From a cow pasture to a wetland teaming with life. In the late 1990s, instead of utilizing every inch of university property for buildings and parking lots, The University of Washington Bothell/Cascadia Community College did something radical. They embarked on one of the largest wetlands restoration projects ever undertaken by a college or university in the United States. And now they have a beautiful, natural campus and a “living lab.”
