Weather Forecast for North America on September 9, 2013

A stationary boundary along the Gulf Coast will bring a few showers and thunderstorms to the region, while a frontal boundary moving through the Northern Plains will bring showers, thunderstorms and flooding rains to the high plains. High pressure will keep both the east and west coast dry, while a storm system enters Alaska with showers and higher elevation snow showers. Very cold air is building over Greenland with temps falling into the teens. Eastern Canada and the northeastern US will see temps in the 50’s and 60’s. Temps over the Southeast will bring temps in the 70’s and 80’s, while temps over the Plains will rise into the 80’s and 90’s with high heat index values.

Weather Forecast for South America on September 9, 2013

From Peru to Brazil look for partly cloudy skies, with light winds and warm temps, while northern Argentina and Chile will also see partly cloudy skies. Southern Chile and Argentina will see mostly cloudy skies with light rain showers and snow showers.  Temps from Peru to Brazil will be in the 80’s, while temps will be in the 60s and 70’s over northern Argentina and Chile, cooling to the 30’s for southern Chile and Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on September 9, 2013

High pressure will keep western Europe dry with partly cloudy skies from London to Spain and northward into Norway and Sweden. A few showers will be possible from Germany to Moscow, while sunny skies will stretch from Spain to Italy and into the Middle East.  Northwest Europe will have temps in the 70’s, while temps warm to the 80’s over Spain and Italy, further warming to the 90-110 range over the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on September 9, 2013

Northern Africa will see partly cloudy skies. This will extend along the Ivy Coast, giving way to afternoon showers and thunderstorms over Central Africa. While gusty winds will be found over southern Africa, the area should also enjoy partly cloudy skies.  Africa will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s. The cool spot will be over southern Africa where temps will be in the 70’s. Temps will be in the 80’s for both Madagascar and the Cape Verde Islands.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on September 9, 2013

The southwest monsoon will bring another day of showers and thunderstorms to the region. There will also be afternoon showers and thunderstorms from Singapore to Malaysia and into Thailand.  Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region from India to Singapore and eastward into Thailand and Malaysia.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on September 9, 2013

High pressure over Siberia will bring partly cloudy skies to eastern Russia and also into portions of eastern China, while a frontal boundary will extend over Japan bringing another day of rainfall to Tokyo. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible from Hong Kong to Manila and eastward into Guam. Temps will be in the 40’s and 50’s over northeast Russia, warming to the 70’s and 80’s for eastern China into the Korea’s and over Japan. Temps will be in the upper 80’s for Guam and Hong Kong along with Manila.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for September 9, 2013

A cold front moving through southwest Australia will bring showers to Perth, while the rest of Australia will see partly cloudy skies from Brisbane to Sydney, also extending into New Zealand.  Northwest Australia will see temps in the upper 80’s, while southwest Australia will be in the 70’s and a few upper 60’s over southeastern Australia.
