Weather Forecast for North America on September 19, 2013
The potential is likely for a new tropical system to emerge into the Gulf of Mexico during the next 24hrs. There will also be a frontal boundary moving through the Northern Plains that will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region. Tropical Storm Humberto continues tracking northward and well away from land. A storm system to the southeast of Greenland will bring more showers to the region. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from the Rockies to the west coast. Temps will be in the 20’s and 30’s over Greenland, warming to the 40’s for northern Canada and the 50’s along the coast. The northeast US will see temps in the 60’s, warming to the 70’s and 80’s for the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps will be in the 80’s over the Plains ahead of the front. Temps will be in the 70’s over portions of the West Coast.
Weather Forecast for South America on September 19, 2013
A weak easterly wave will bring increased showers and thunderstorms to portions of Brazil, while partly cloudy skies will prevail over the rest of Brazil and into Peru. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather across Chile and Argentina as the low pressure has finally departed the area. Northeast Brazil will have temps in the 80’s cooling to the 70’s for Peru further cooling to the 40’s over higher elevations of Chile along with 30’s for southern Chile and Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on September 19, 2013
High pressure will bring partly cloudy skies to Western Europe. A few showers will be possible over northern Europe, while partly cloudy skies will prevail from Germany to England. Spain to Italy and southward into the Middle East will enjoy sunny skies. Temps will be in the 60’s over Western Europe warming to the 70’s for central Europe. Expect to see 80’s for Spain eastward into Italy, while temps will hit the 100-110 range for the Middle East again.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on September 19, 2013
Northern Africa will see partly cloudy skies, while showers and thunderstorms will re-emerge over central Africa. Also expect partly cloudy skies for southern Africa along with gusty winds. A few showers will be possible over Madagascar along a frontal boundary. The majority of Africa will see temps in the 80’s with a few 90’s over interior places; the cool spot will be South Africa with temps only in the 70’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on September 19, 2013
The southwest monsoon will bring showers and thunderstorms to India and Sri Lanka again while afternoon scattered thunderstorms will be possible from Singapore to Thailand. The new tropical depression will gain strength and make it to tropical storm status before it makes landfall in Vietnam; expect to see heavy rainfall along with rising seas and strong winds for Vietnam. This region will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s However, Vietnam may only get into the 70’s due to the clouds and heavy rainfall that is possible.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on September 19, 2013
A frontal boundary extending from Russia to eastern China will bring showers to the region, while isolated afternoon showers will be possible for Tokyo, as well. Typhoon Usagi is still on track to make a close approach to Taiwan and then landfall into China. This will bring heavy rainfall over Taiwan along with China, to include Hong Kong. Afternoon showers will be possible from Manila into Guam. Temps will be in the 50’s for northern Russia, warming to the 60’s for northern Japan and the 70’s and 80’s from eastern China into Tokyo and the Korea’s. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s for Hong Kong and Manila and also the 80’s over Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for September 19, 2013
Low pressure to the south of Perth will make for another rainy day over the area along with other parts of southwest Australia. Partly cloudy skies will be found from Brisbane to Sydney and also over into Auckland. North and northwest Australia will see temps in the 60’s and 70’s, cooling to the 50’s over southeast Australia.
