International Weather Outlook: September 11, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on September 11, 2013
High pressure over the Mid-Atlantic region will bring partly cloudy skies to the area, while low pressure to the southeast of Greenland will bring showers. Another frontal boundary moving over the Plains will push into the Mid-Mississippi River valley and bring showers and thunderstorms to that area. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the western US. Temps will range from 0 to 10F over most of Greenland, warming to the 20’s and 30’s over northeast Canada. It will be in the 60’s and 70’s for the Northeast, while hot weather settles in from Iowa to Maryland. Temps will be in the 90’s with a few 100’s, as well. The Southeast and Gulf Coast will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s and the western US will be mostly in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on September 11, 2013
Northern Peru to Brazil will see partly cloudy skies. This will extend into Chile and northern Argentina, while showers and snow showers will again hit southern Argentina and southern Chile. The majority of the region will see temps in the 80’s from Peru to Brazil, while temps will be in the 50’s over northern Argentina. Expect to see temps will be in the 30’s over southern Chile and southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on September 11, 2013
Western Europe to central Russia will see partly cloudy skies, including northern Europe, while sunny skies will dominate from Spain to Italy and into the Middle East. Temps will be in the 60’s over a good portion of Europe from England to Germany and northward over the Scandinavian region. Temps will be in the 80’s and a few 90’s from Spain to Italy. The Middle East will again be in the 95-105F range.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on September 11, 2013
Northern Africa will see partly cloudy skies, while afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be over central Africa along the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Northern Africa will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s, cooling to the 70’s over central Africa with all the precipitation. Temps will be in the 80’s along the south-central coast of Africa, cooling to the 60’s over South Africa. Temps will be in the 70’s for the Cape Verde Islands, as well, due to the increase in tropical moisture.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on September 11, 2013
The southwest monsoon will shift to more of an offshore position allowing for partly cloudy skies over northern India. There still will be showers and thunderstorms over southern India and Sri Lanka, while afternoon showers will push into Singapore and portions of Malaysia. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over India, cooling to the 70’s along the Bay of Bengal. Expect to see temps in the 70’s and 80’s from Singapore to Malaysia.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on September 11, 2013
A frontal boundary will extend from northeast Russia to Japan. There will be moderate showers along this boundary. Partly cloudy skies will prevail from eastern China into the Korea’s. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible from Hong Kong to Manila and eastward towards Guam. Northeast Russia will be in the 30’s, warming to the 60’s for northern Japan. The 70’s and 80’s will dominate the weather from the Korea’s to Japan. Temps will be in the 80’s for Hong Kong and also into Manila, along with Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for September 11, 2013
A cold front moving through southwest Australia will be bring showers and thunderstorms to the region, while partly cloudy skies will prevail over the rest of Australia along with a few showers over portions of New Zealand. Temps will be in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s over northern Australia, cooling to the 60’s for southwest Australia along with southeast Australia, including the cities of Perth and Sydney.
