Weather Forecast for North America on October 4, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will prevail from eastern Canada to the eastern US, while Karen makes its approach to the northern Gulf Coast, bringing heavy rainfall, storm surge along with damaging winds to the northern Gulf Coast over the next few days. A strong cold front will be moving through the Plains and will bring showers, thunderstorms, severe weather and blizzard like conditions over the Plains and eastern Rockies. High pressure will keep the West Coast dry and warm. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland to the 60’s and 70’s over eastern Canada and the eastern US, while 70’s and 80’s will dominate from the southeast into the Gulf Coast. Temps will drop into the 30’s and 40’s over the Northern Plains.

Weather Forecast for South America on October 4, 2013

Partly cloudy skies over most of Peru with a few showers in Southern Peru, partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather over Brazil and southward into Chile and Argentina. Temps will range from the 70’s over Peru to the 80’s and 90’s in Brazil, cooling to the 60’s over Northern Argentina and further cooling to the 50’s for Southern Argentina and Chile.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 4, 2013

A few lingering showers will be over Northern Europe, otherwise look for partly cloudy skies to extend from England to Germany and over into Western Russia. Sunny skies will dominate the weather from Southern Spain to Italy and into the Middle East. Temps will be in the 40’s over Northern Europe warming to the 60’s for England and the 70’s and 80’s from Spain to Italy, while the 90-110 range dominate most of the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 4, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will prevail across most of Northern Africa, giving way to showers over Central Africa. Southern Africa will enjoy partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions as well. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s across the region, with a few cooler spots over South Africa.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 4, 2013

The southwest monsoon will not be an impact for the weather, however watching closely as an area is beginning to support possible tropical development between India and Burma. The rest of the area will see partly cloudy skies with afternoon thunderstorms from Singapore to Thailand. Temps will range in the 80’s and 90’s across the area.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 4, 2013

A storm system moving through Eastern Russia will bring showers to the region, while showers and thunderstorms will also be possible from China into the Korea’s and across Japan. Typhoon Fitow continues to track towards the west-northwest and will bring impacts to Okinawa, with strong winds and heavy rainfall along with storm surge. Tropical Depression 23, has also developed and will make its way north of Guam and towards Japan over the next few days. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible from Hong Kong to Manila and into Guam. Temps will range from the 50’s over Northern Russia to the 70’s across Eastern China into Japan. Temps will be in the 80’s from Hong Kong to Manila and eastward into Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 4, 2013

A few showers will be possible over Northeast Australia, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Western Australia into Perth and across over towards Sydney. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over Northwest Australia, cooling to the 80’s over Northeast Australia and further cooling to the 60’s and 70’s over Southern Australia.
