Weather Forecast for North America on October 22, 2013
A storm system moving through the Plains and a second area of disturbed weather over the Great Lakes will provide both regions with showers and snow showers. A few showers will be along the Gulf Coast associated with a gradient difference between the warmer Gulf waters and the colder air moving southward. Hurricane Raymond has winds around 105kts and is bringing flooding rains to Mexico. A new storm system in the Gulf of Alaska will bring showers and snow showers to Alaska, while the West Coast will enjoy partly cloudy skies and mild weather. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland to the 50’s over eastern Canada and the 60’s for the eastern US, slightly warming to the 70’s for the Gulf Coast, cooling back to the 40’s and 50’s for the Plains. Temps will be in the 50’s and 60’s for a good portion of the West Coast, as well.
Weather Forecast for South America on October 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies are in store for Peru to northern Brazil, giving way to showers over southern Brazil. Partly cloudy skies are also in store from Chile to Argentina, while southern Argentina will see showers., Temps will range from the 60’s and 70’ over Peru to the 80’s for most of Brazil. Expect it to cool to the 70’s over northern Argentina and the 50’s and 60’s for southern Chile and Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 22, 2013
A low pressure extending from England to Spain will bring showers to the region. The frontal boundary will extend northward into portions of France and also the Scandinavia region. This will lead to showers and even a few snow showers over the northern portion. Sunny skies will prevail from Italy to the Middle East. Temps will be in the 30’s over Scandinavia warming to the 50’s and 60’s for England and France Expect it to further warm to the 70’s for Spain and eastward into Italy and the 90’s for the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will prevail over most of northern Africa giving way to a few showers around Somalia. Southern Africa into Madagascar will also see partly cloudy skies. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s for northern Africa and central Africa, cooling to the 70’s over southern Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies over northern India will give way to showers over southern India and also Sri Lanka. Afternoon showers will be possible from Singapore to Thailand and into Vietnam. We are also watching multiple areas in the Indian Ocean basin for possible tropical development. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 22, 2013
A frontal boundary moving through northeast Russia will bring showers and a few snow showers to the region, while partly cloudy skies will extend over eastern China. Typhoon Francisco will be moving closer to Okinawa, Japan bringing gusty winds and heavy rainfall to the islands to the east. Tropical Storm Lekima is pushing northwestward towards Iwo Jima (Iwo To). A third tropical is beginning to take shape near Guam. This will bring moderate rainfall to Guam. Temps will range from the 30’s over northeast Russia to the 50’s and 60’s for northern China into northern Japan, warming to the 70’s for eastern China into Tokyo. Temps will be in the 70’s and 80’s for Hong Kong to Manila and also Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 22, 2013
There will be a few showers over northeast Australia around Brisbane, otherwise partly cloudy skies and dry weather will dominate most of Australia, leading to an increase in fire hazards. Temps will be in the 90’s over northern Australia to the 70’s over the southern portion to include Perth and Sydney.
