Weather Forecast for North America on October 21, 2013
Expect a few snow showers over Greenland near the low pressure. There will also be a few showers along the northern Gulf Coast as the cold polar air advances southward merging with the warm Gulf waters. There will be showers over portions of Central America and western Mexico associated with Tropical Storm Raymond, which has winds around 45kts. High pressure will keep the western US dry for now, while the next storm system brings rain and snow to Alaska. Temps will range from the 20’s in Greenland to the 40’s over eastern Canada and the 50’s and 60’s along the northeast. Expect the 70’s for the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps will also be in the 50’s and 60’s over the Northern Plains, while the West Coast will be in the 60’s and 70’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on October 21, 2013
There will be a few showers over Peru; otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies from Brazil to Chile and into Argentina. Temps will be in the 70’s over Peru to the 80’s and 90’s for Brazil, cooling to the 70’s for northern Argentina and the 60’s over southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 21, 2013
There will be a few lingering showers over western Europe, giving way to partly cloudy skies from Germany to Italy and into the Middle East, where it will be sunny. Temps will range from the 40’s over northern Europe to the 60’s in England and the 70’s over Spain. Expect it to warm to the 80’s for Italy and further warming to the 90’s in the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 21, 2013
Northern Africa will see sunny skies, giving way to partly cloudy skies over the western side of Africa. There will be showers over the eastern coast of Africa along with South Africa. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s in northern Africa, with a few 70’s for central and southern Africa, otherwise 80’s through central and southern Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 21, 2013
The southwest monsoon will mostly remain off shore today; however, there still will be some afternoon showers and thunderstorms extending from Sri Lanka to Singapore and eastward into Malaysia and Vietnam. Thailand will see a few showers, as well. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s through the entire region.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 21, 2013
A cold front moving through portions of Russia will bring a few snow showers and rain showers to the region. A frontal boundary pushing through Japan will bring showers to Tokyo, while partly cloudy skies will prevail from Seoul to Shanghai. Showers and thunderstorms will be present through Okinawa as Super-Typhoon Francisco approaches the area. There will also be showers and thunderstorms for Hong Kong, along with Manila. Expect gusty winds along with showers and thunderstorms for Guam as Tropical Depression 28W has developed near the region. We are also watching Tropical Depression 27W which is on a track towards Iwo Jima, Japan. Temps will be in the 30’s over northern Russia to the 50’s in northern China, warming to the 60’s and 70’s for Shanghai to Seoul and eastward into Tokyo. Temps will be in the 80’s for Hong Kong along with Manila and Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 21, 2013
A cold front moving through central Australia will bring shower to the region, otherwise the rest of Australia will see partly cloudy skies this includes Perth and Sydney. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over northern Australia to the 70’s for Sydney and Perth.
