Weather Forecast for North America on October 2, 2013

High pressure will bring another day of nice weather to the eastern US and eastern Canada, while a strong storm system moves into the Northern Plains. Expect to see showers and thunderstorms associated with this. The storms will extend into the Gulf Coast, as well. High pressure over the southwest will keep the region dry, while the Pacific Northwest deals with another day of clouds and showers. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland to the 50’s and 60’s across eastern Canada and the northeast US. We will see temps will into the 80’s over the Gulf Coast. Temps over the Northern Plains will be in the 70’s, cooling to the 30’s for the Rockies. The Pacific Northwest will have temps in the 60’s as well.

Weather Forecast for South America on October 2, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will prevail across all of Peru and into Brazil. There may be an isolated shower or two over parts of Argentina; otherwise, expect to see partly cloudy skies throughout Argentina and into Chile, as well. Temps will range from the 60’s over Peru to the 80’s over Brazil. Temps will fall to the 70’s over northern Argentina and the 30’s for southern Chile and Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 2, 2013

The majority of the region will see partly cloudy skies from England to Norway and into Spain, while a frontal boundary will bring showers to Central Europe, including Germany and parts of Italy. The Middle East will be warm and dry again. Temps will range from the 40’s over Norway to the 60’s in England and the 80’s for Southern Spain into Italy. The Middle East will be in the 90-110 range again.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 2, 2013

Northern Africa will see partly cloudy skies, while afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible over Central Africa. Gusty winds on the back side of a low pressure will impact South Africa. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over northern Africa to the 80’s across central Africa and the upper 70’s through southern Africa.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 2, 2013:

An increase in rain showers and thunderstorms will be found throughout India and Sri Lanka as the southwest monsoon increases in coverage again. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will dominate from Singapore to Vietnam. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 2, 2013

High pressure will remain over eastern Russia and into eastern China. While another tropical system moves just to the southeast of Tokyo, expect to see showers and gusty winds for the area. A new tropical moving over the Pacific is heading towards Okinawa, Japan with strong winds and heavy rainfall expected to start impacting Okinawa over the next couple of days. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible for Hong Kong and Manila, while Guam should see mostly cloudy skies. Temps will be in the 40’s over northern Russia, warming to the 60’s and 70’s for eastern China and also over Seoul and Tokyo. Temps will be in the 80’s over Hong Kong and the upper 80’s for Manila and Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 2, 2013

A cold front will push through south central Australia, bringing showers to the region. The rest of Australia will see partly cloudy skies from Perth to the northwest corner and eastward into northern Australia and also Sydney. Temps will be in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s over northern Australia, cooling to the 70’s for Sydney and Perth.
