Weather Forecast for North America on October 19, 2013

A frontal boundary moving through the Great Lakes will bring a few showers to the region; there will also be a few showers/thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast. The rest of the United States will be dealing with high pressure and cooler weather. A strong storm system approaching Alaska will bring showers and higher elevation snows to the region. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland, to the 50’s in eastern Canada up to the 60’s over the northeast, further warming to the 70’s for the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps over the Plains will be in the 50’s with a few 40’s, as well. The West Coast will see temps range from the 60’s in the northwest to the 70’s in the SOCAL region.

Weather Forecast for South America on October 19, 2013

A few showers over Peru, extending into Chile, will give way to partly cloudy skies over Brazil and into southern Argentina. Temps will range from the 60’s over Peru to the 80’s and 90’s in Brazil. Northern Argentina will be in the 70’s cooling to the 50’s for southern Argentina and Chile.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 19, 2013

A storm system moving into the region will bring showers from England to Norway, moving southward over most of France and Spain, as well. Partly cloudy skies will extend from Germany to Italy, giving way to sunny skies over the Middle East. Temps will range from the 40’s over northern Europe to the 60’s in England and the 70’s and 80’s over portions of Spain and Italy. Temps will be in the 90’s over the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 19, 2013

Sunny skies will dominate most of northern Africa, becoming partly cloudy over central Africa. There may be a few showers in the region, as well. Southern Africa is going to be breezy with occasional showers. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over Northern Africa to the 80’s over central Africa and the 70’s over South Africa.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 19, 2013

An area of enhanced convection along the monsoonal boundary is being watched for possible tropical development. Otherwise, look for a few showers over Sri Lanka into southern India. Northern India will be partly cloudy. Skies will also be partly cloudy from Singapore to Thailand. Temps in this region will range from the 80’s and a few 90’s.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 19, 2013

High pressure over eastern China will bring partly cloudy skies to the region. This will extend into Japan and also to the south, around Hong Kong. Okinawa will begin to see increasing winds and rains as Typhoon Francisco begins to approach the area. Showers and thunderstorms will also be possible over Manila and back towards Guam, where another tropical system is beginning to take shape. Temps will range from the 30’s over northeast Russia, to the 50’s in northern Japan and the 70’s from eastern China into Tokyo. Hong Kong and Manila will enjoy the 80’s along with Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 19, 2013

A new storm system pushing towards southwest Australia will bring showers to the region. The remainder of Australia will see partly cloudy skies. Along with that, temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over the north, to the 60’s and a few 70’s for Perth to Sydney.
