Weather Forecast for North America on October 14, 2013
High pressure will keep the most of the East Coast dry, extending into northeast Canada and Greenland. A frontal boundary moving through the Plains will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region; higher elevation snows will be over the Rockies. Expect partly cloudy skies over the West Coast, while showers will be over western Canada and into Alaska. Northern Alaska will see moderate snowfall. Temps will be in the 30’s over Greenland, while temps rise to the 50’s over eastern Canada and into the northeast US, while 60’s and 70’s will be on the East Coast and extending into the southeast. The Gulf Coast will see temps in the 80’s along with the Southern Plains. Temps in the 50’s and 60’s over the Northern Plains.
Weather Forecast for South America on October 14, 2013
Showers will extend from Peru into Northern Chile, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather over all of Brazil and into Argentina, along with Southern Chile. Temps will be in the 70’s for Peru, warming to the 80’s and 90’s for Brazil. Temps will fall to the 70’s over northern Argentina and the 50’s from southern Argentina into Southern Chile.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 14, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate the entire region of Europe and extend into northern Europe, along with western Russia. Sunny skies will be seen from Italy to the Middle East. Temps will be in the 40’s over northern Europe, warming to the 60’s over England and central Europe, while 80’s will be over Spain into Italy and the 90’s will be in the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 14, 2013
Sunny skies will prevail over northern Africa, giving way to mostly cloudy skies and showers over central Africa along the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). This will also hold temps down in the region. Partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions will dominate southern Africa into Madagascar. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over northern Africa, cooling to the 70’s over central Africa and also over extreme southern Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 14, 2013
Tropical Cyclone Phailin will continue to move over India and towards the west bringing heavy rain, strong winds and flooding to portions of India. The rest of India will see partly cloudy skies, while Singapore to Thailand will have showers during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies with increasing showers will also be present over Vietnam as Typhoon Nari begins to move towards the region. Temps will range in the 80’s and 90’s over most of the region.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 14, 2013
Soon to be Super-Typhoon Wipha continues tracking over the western Pacific and will pass just to the east of Okinawa. It will then make a northeast turn towards Japan and is expected to pass near the capitol with very strong winds later in the week. High pressure over eastern China will keep the region dry. This will extend into northern Russia, as well. Showers will be possible for Hong Kong, Manila and over Guam during the afternoon hours. Temps will range from the 30’s and 40’s over northern Russia to the 60’s for northern Japan, warming to the 70’s and 80’s from central China to the Korea’s and over Japan. Temps will be in the 80’s for Hong Kong to Manila and into Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 14, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Perth to northern Australia and then eastward into Brisbane and over the southeast part of the country around Sydney. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over the north to the 70’s near Perth and also Sydney.
