Weather Forecast for North America on October 12, 2013

A strong storm system moving across the center of the United States will bring showers, thunderstorms and severe weather along with higher elevation snows to the region. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland to the 60’s over most of the East Coast and the 70’s and 80’s for the southeast and Gulf Coast, temps will be in the 50’s over the Northern Plains and the lower 60’s for the Pacific Northwest.

Weather Forecast for South America on October 12, 2013

Peru will see the return of afternoon showers, while the rest of the area remains partly cloudy; that will extend into Brazil, as well. Partly cloudy skies will also dominate the weather from Argentina into Chile to include the southern region. Temps will range from the 70’s over Peru to the 80’s over Brazil with a few 90’s. Temps over northern Argentina will be in the 70’s cooling to the 50’s for southern Argentina and southern Chile.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 12, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will extend from England to Norway and southward into Spain, while a few showers will be possible over Italy. Sunny skies will also dominate the weather over the Middle East. Temps will be in the 60’s for England to the 40’s over northern Europe warming to the 70’s and 80’s for Spain and Italy, further warming to the 90’s for the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 12, 2013

Expect partly cloudy skies across the region from north to south, with a few showers over portions of central Africa; otherwise, nice weather for all regions. There will be strong winds over southern Africa. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over most of northern Africa and central to the 70’s and 80’s over southern Africa.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 12, 2013

Watching as the strong cyclone begins to impact eastern India with very strong winds, heavy rains, mudslides and flooding throughout the weekend. Northern India into Sri Lanka will also be dealing with showers. Singapore to Malaysia and into Thailand will see afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Vietnam is again watching for another tropical system to be moving their way. Temps will be in the 80’s over India to the 80’s and 90’s for the rest of the region.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 12, 2013

Typhoon Nari has crashed ashore over Manila bringing devastating winds, rains and flooding to the region. The area is also still dealing with major storm surge, as well. The storm is moving off to the west and is headed towards Vietnam. Tropical Storm (soon to be Typhoon) Wipha is turning just to the northwest of Guam and is headed for a landfall near Okinawa Japan and also near mainland Japan as a strong storm. A frontal boundary moving through northern Japan right now is bringing cooler weather and showers to the region. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible for Manila, Hong Kong and also Guam. Temps will range from the 30’s over northeast Russia to the 50’s over northern Japan and the 70’s over most of eastern China into Tokyo. Hong Kong to Manila and eastward to Guam will see temps in the 80’s.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 12, 2013

The majority of Australia will be looking at partly cloudy skies, while temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over northern Australia to the 70’s from Perth to Sydney.
