International Weather Outlook: May 6, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on May 6, 2013
Low pressure along the Mid-Atlantic will bring a few showers to the region, while high pressure builds in over the center of the United States bringing nice weather to the area. Looking for partly cloudy skies over both Greenland and Iceland. Partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions will be possible over the western United States which will create another day of high fire hazard for the region. Partly cloudy skies will stretch from Vancouver all the way northward towards Juneau, Alaska. Easterly trade winds will bring afternoon showers to Hawaii. The temps will be in the 30’s for most of Iceland and Greenland, while the warmer weather pushes northward into eastern Canada with places in the 50’s and 60’s this will extend into the east coast of the US, as well. The 70’s will dominate most of the Gulf Coast, while the 50’s and 60’s encompass a good portion of the Plains region. Warm weather is in store for the southwest with high temps in the 80’s. Look for 60’s and mid 70’s for the remainder of the West Coast and the Northwest. A cold day is in store for most of Alaska with high temps well below 30F.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 6, 2013
Showers will dominate the weather along a good portion of northwest South America for places like Peru. Partly cloudy skies will extend from northeast South America into Brazil, while showers will be possible over most of Argentina. The 80’s will be over a good portion of Brazil, while the 70’s filter in over most of northern South America. The west coast will see temps in the 40’s and a few 50’s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 6, 2013
A nice day is in store for most of Europe from England to Spain and eastward into Italy. The only place that will see showers and extra cloud cover will be along the frontal boundary over the Scandinavian region. The warm weather and sunny weather will also dominate the Middle East. A warm day in store for most of Europe with high temps in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s across England. Expect to see upper 70’s to mid 80’s from Spain to Italy and northward into Germany. The heat will be on over the Middle East with many places seeing temps in the upper 80’s to mid 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 6, 2013
Sunny skies will be found across most of Northern Africa, while partly cloudy skies will extend down towards the boot; showers will be possible for Somalia and other portions of eastern Africa. Partly cloudy skies will be found from Madagascar into South Africa, and also up the west coast. Partly cloudy skies will be found across the Cape Verde Islands as well. The extreme northwest and southeast parts of Africa will be in the 70’s, while the rest of the region will be in the 80’s and a few 90’s. Madagascar will also see 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 6, 2013
New Delhi will see plenty of sunshine and hot conditions. While partly cloudy skies and showers will dominate Sri Lanka. Look for partly cloudy skies from Singapore into Malaysia with a few afternoon showers possible in this region as well. Hot weather over all of India with temps in the upper 90’s to around 105F for some places to include New Delhi. Sri Lanka will see lower 90’s while the upper 80’s hit Singapore into Malaysia and southward towards Jakarta.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 6, 2013
Looking at mostly cloudy skies for northeast Russia, giving way to partly cloudy skies over eastern China, while high pressure dominates the weather from the Korea’s into Japan with plenty of sunshine. Sunshine will also be prevalent from Hong Kong into Manila and eastward into Guam. The 40’s will be over northeast Russia, while the 50’s dominate northern Japan. Looking at the 60’s and a few 70’s from Beijing eastward to Tokyo and Seoul. Hong Kong will see temps rise into the upper 70’s and lower 80’s while Manila will be in the upper 80’s to lower 90’s. Guam will be nice with temps in the mid 80’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 6, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate northern Australia; this will also push into western Australia, where high pressure will keep the region nice. A weak cold front will move through south-central Australia and bring a few showers to the region; however, they should stay west of Sydney. Mostly cloudy skies will dominate Sydney, while showers will be in place over New Zealand. Hot weather in store for northwest Australia with temps in the upper 80’s. The 70’s will stretch from Perth all the way eastward to the east coast. The cool weather will be over Sydney and Auckland as both places see high temps in the 60’s at best.
