Weather Forecast for North America on May 3, 2013
High pressure along the east coast of the United States will bring partly cloudy skies to the region. Look for showers over Greenland and Iceland. An area of cold high pressure will push into the Plains region; this will lead to many temps below normal for the region from Texas to Minnesota. Partly cloudy skies will be possible over Vancouver while sunny skies will dominate Los Angeles after the morning haze clears out of the region. The 20’s and 30’s will dominate most of Iceland and Greenland. Look for the 50’s and 60’s to be found along the northeast, while the 70’s will be over the southeast ahead of the storm system. Colder weather will fill in from the northern Plains to the Gulf Coast, with many places seeing temps around 20-30 degrees below normal. The west coast will be dry and warm for places like Los Angeles; temps may cross the 90’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 3, 2013
A cold front moving through South America will bring showers to southern Brazil and into Argentina, while showers will also be possible over parts of western South America. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the northern part of South America. The mid 80’s will dominate Brazil, while the 60’s and 70’s will be found through the central part of the country into northern Argentina. Peru will enjoy temps in the 70’s. The coldest air will be over the southern part with temps only in the 50’s and 60’s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 3, 2013
Cloudy skies will dominate most of Europe; there will be less cloud cover towards England, but the region should remain dry. Partly cloudy skies will spread from Spain to Italy and southward into the Middle East. The temps will be in the 30’s and 40’s for Scandinavia. England will see 50’s and Spain to Italy will be in the 60’s and 70’s. Hot weather will dominate the Middle East with temps over the 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 3, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will be found from northwest Africa into central Africa, with a few showers over South Africa as a frontal boundary approaches the area. The 70’s and 80’s will dominate the northern part of Africa, while the 80’s and a few 90’s will encompass most of Africa; the exception will be South Africa where high temps will be in the lower 70’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 3, 2013
High pressure and warm weather will be found from India southward into Sri Lanka. A few showers will be found in the afternoon from Singapore into Malaysia and southward into Jakarta. The heat will be on over northern India with temps soaring above 100 for New Delhi, while the 90’s will spread into Sri Lanka and the 80’s will be possible in Singapore and Jakarta.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 3, 2013
A weak area of low pressure moving through northeast Europe will bring cloudy skies to the region, while high pressure builds in from Japan to the Korea’s and most of eastern China which will create sunny to partly cloudy skies for this area. Hong Kong can expect to see some afternoon showers as a weak low pressure moves into the region. Manila will see sunny skies and warm weather, while Guam will have easterly winds and showers towards the late afternoon and early evening. Northeast Russia will see some warmer weather with high temps in the upper 60’s; this will spread southward into the Korea’s and central Japan as well. Look for the 80’s across parts of eastern China and also into Hong Kong. Manila will be the hot spot with temps around the mid 90’s. Guam will rise to the upper 80’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 3, 2013
Northern Australia will deal with showers as the remains of a tropical cyclone move through the region. Sunny skies will dominate Perth and most of western Australia, while increased clouds will be found over southeast Australia into New Zealand. The northwest and west part of Australia will see temps in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s, while the cooler weather will be over southeast Australia with high temps in the 60’s and even a few 50’s over New Zealand.
