Weather Forecast for North America on May 2, 2013
An area of disturbed weather will move through parts of Greenland bringing areas of snowfall to the region. High pressure along the east coast of the United States will keep the region dry. A powerful storm system moving through the Plains will be responsible for rain, snow, and thunderstorms for a wide area from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast and back into the Plains. High pressure along the west coast will keep the region dry as well. The 30â€™s and 40â€™s will be found over northeast Canada and into Greenland and Iceland. The 50â€™s and 60â€™s will dominate the northeast United States, while the 70â€™s will be over the Gulf Coast and southeast. Cold air will be in place over the Plains as many places will be about 20 degrees below normal with high temps only in the 40â€™s. A mild day in store for Hawaii with temps in the 70â€™s.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 2, 2013
A few showers will be possible along the Inter-tropical convergence zone of South America; otherwise, the rest of the country will remain dry with partly cloudy skies. The upper 70â€™s to lower 80â€™s will dominate Brazil, while the 70â€™s will be found across northern Argentina. The mid 60â€™s will be found through Peru and into parts of the west coast. Look for the 30â€™s and 40â€™s over southern parts of South America especially in southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 2, 2013
Most of Europe will see partly cloudy skies with mostly cloudy skies possible over the Scandinavian region. The Middle East will be dry and warm with partly cloudy skies as well. The 50â€™s will be found across most of Scandinavia, while the upper 50â€™s hit England and the 60â€™s spread from Spain into Italy.Â The Middle East will be warm again with high temps in the upper 80â€™s to lower 90â€™s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 2, 2013
Sunny skies will prevail over the Cape Verde Islands, while a few showers develop in central Africa along the west coast. Partly cloudy skies will be found from South Africa into Madagascar and up the east coast. Temps across most of Africa will be in the upper 80â€™s with a few 90â€™s possible. The cooler spots will be northwest Africa and southeast Africa where high temps will only make it into the upper 70â€™s.Â Look for the upper 60â€™s through Madagascar.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 2, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will be found from India into Sri Lanka, while afternoon showers will spread across Singapore and into Malaysia and parts of Jakarta. Hot weather will be over India again with the upper 80â€™s over the north and the mid 80â€™s in the South. Singapore and Malaysia along with Jakarta will all see upper 80â€™s.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 2, 2013
Eastern Russia into eastern China, and eastward into Japan, will all see partly cloudy skies and a cool day; however, no precipitation is forecasted for this region. Partly cloudy skies will also dominate Hong Kong and Manila, but Manila will be warm. A few afternoon showers will dominate the weather for Guam. The 30â€™s and 40â€™s will stretch across most of northeast Russia into northern Japan, while the 50â€™s and 60â€™s hit Tokyo and westward into the Koreaâ€™s and parts of eastern China. The mid 70â€™s will be found across Hong Kong, while the upper 80â€™s will hit Manila and the lower 80â€™s over Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 2, 2013
Showers will be possible across northern Australia in association with Tropical Cyclone Zane that is impacting the region. Partly cloudy skies will stretch from Perth to Sydney. Mostly cloudy skies will encompass New Zealand. Look for high temps in the 70â€™s over northwest Australia cooling to the 60â€™s for southwest Australia and even some 50â€™s from Sydney to Auckland New Zealand.
