Weather Forecast for North America on May 18, 2013

High pressure off the east coast will bring nice weather to the eastern United States and Canada. Look for mostly cloudy skies from Greenland to Iceland. A storm system moving through the middle of the United States will bring showers, thunderstorms and severe weather to the region from Texas to South Dakota. Partly cloudy skies will also be along the west coast and into Hawaii. Temps will be in the 30’s for Greenland and Iceland, while the 50’s and 60’s will be possible over eastern Canada and the northeast United States. The 70’s and 80’s will be found from the southeast back into the Gulf Coast.  The west coast of the United States will see 60’s and 70’s while upper 70’s hit Hawaii.

Weather Forecast for South America on May 18, 2013

Mostly cloudy skies with showers are possible for the northern part of South America, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Brazil southward into Argentina. A few showers will be possible over western South America. Temps will be in the 60’s for Peru and eastward into Brazil. The 50’s will be over northern Argentina, cooling to the 40’s for southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 18, 2013

A frontal boundary moving through Spain will bring showers to the area Look for these showers to also advance into parts of Italy and northward towards Germany, while partly cloudy skies dominates England and the Scandinavian region.  Increasing clouds will be possible over the Middle East; however, it will still be dry and warm for the region. Temps will be in the 50’s for England and Spain, while the upper 60’s to lower 70’s will be in Italy. The Middle East will be cooler with high temps only in the 90’s for the day.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 18, 2013

Northern Africa will see mostly cloudy skies with showers, while partly cloudy skies will be found from The Cape Verde Islands into South Africa and eastward towards Madagascar.  A cool day is in store for northern Africa and the Cape Verde Islands with high temps in the 60’s. The 70’s will dominate most of the coastal area of South Africa, while a few 80’s hit the interior.  Madagascar will be in the 60’s, as well.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 18, 2013

Northern India will see mostly cloudy skies, while showers will develop over eastern India associated with the tropical system.  We are watching for afternoon showers from Singapore into Jakarta and northward towards Malaysia as well.  The heat will be on for New Delhi, with temps forecasted to soar over the 100 degree mark again. Singapore and the remainder of Southeast Asia will see 80’s and a few 90’s.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 18, 2013

Cloudy skies expected for the Kuril Island region, giving way to partly cloudy skies for northeast Russia.  Eastern China and Japan will see partly cloudy skies, as well. Showers will dominate the afternoons from Hong Kong into Manila. The daytime heating and the easterly trade winds will create showers over Guam during the afternoon. Northeast Russia and northern Japan will enjoy 60’s, while the temps rise to the 70’s for Tokyo to Shanghai and Seoul. Hong Kong will see high temps in the upper 70’s, while Manila reaches the upper 80’s to lower 90’s. As for Guam, look for mid 80’s.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 18, 2013

Western Australia will enjoy partly cloudy skies, while eastern Australia will be dealing with partly to mostly cloudy skies; this will also be the case into New Zealand as well. Western Australia will see temps in the upper 60’s, while southeast Australia gets into the 50’s along with New Zealand.
