Weather Forecast for North America on May 12, 2013
Low pressure moving towards the Mid-Atlantic will bring showers and isolated thunderstorms to the region; look for thunderstorms over parts of Florida. Snow showers will be found across a good portion of Greenland, while Iceland will remain partly cloudy. Partly cloudy skies associated with high pressure will be found over the central and western United States. A very cold day is in store for Greenland with temps only getting into the 20’s, while Iceland may hit the 30’s. Warmth will be found along the east coast of the US with temps in the 60-70’s. There will be plenty of cold air over the northern Plains into the Great Lakes, as some places may not even get out of the 30’s. Look for near record cold very possible for the region. The 50’s and 60’s will dominate a good portion of the west, while the southwest will be in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 12, 2013
Look for showers over northwest South America around Chile and parts of Peru. Mostly cloudy skies will be found through southern Chile into southern Argentina. Partly cloudy skies will be found from northern Argentina into Brazil. Extreme northeast Brazil will see upper 80’s, while western Brazil and most of South America will see 60’s and 70’s. The coldest weather will be from Chile to the tip of Argentina where high temps might only hit the 40’s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 12, 2013
Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be found from England northward into Sweden, while sunny skies will dominate the weather from Madrid all the way over towards Venice. Partly cloudy skies will also dominate most of eastern Europe. A warm and dry day found for the Middle East with a few clouds possible during the day. Most of England and Spain will see 60’s and 70’s; however, southern Spain and over towards Italy will be in the 80’s and most of Eastern Europe will be in the 80’s as well. The Middle East will see high temps in the 90’s and 100’s with a few places near 105F.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 12, 2013
Sunny skies expected across Northern Africa, giving way to partly cloudy skies for both the west and east coast. Southern Africa will see mostly cloudy skies as a front passes through the region, look for showers to impact Madagascar. 90% of Africa will be in the upper 80’s to low 90’s, while South Africa will only be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s. The upper 70’s will also be over Madagascar with showers.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 12, 2013
Hot weather along with partly cloudy skies will dominate most of northern India, while southern India and into Sri Lanka will see increased clouds and winds along with a few showers associated with Tropical Cyclone 1B. Afternoon showers will also be found from Singapore into Jakarta and northward into parts of Thailand. The weather will be very warm over India with many places hitting the upper 90’s to low 100’s. Temps from Sri Lanka into Singapore will also be headed towards the 90’s. A tad bit cooler for Jakarta where high temps will be in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 12, 2013
Mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible over northeast Russia, while mostly cloudy skies will be found throughout northern Japan. High pressure and sunny skies will dominate the region from Shanghai into Tokyo. Sunny skies will also dominate most of Hong Kong and southeast China. There will be a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms over Manila. A nice day in store for Guam with plenty of sunshine expected. Cold air in place over northeast Russia with some high temps only getting into the 30’s; the 50’s will dominate northern Japan. The 50’s and 60’s will be over the Korea’s into central Japan to include Tokyo. Hong Kong will see temps in the lower 80’s, while upper 80’s will be found around Manila and also pushing into Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 12, 2013
Mostly cloudy skies will be found over northeast Australia, giving way to partly cloudy skies over the northwest and west coast to include Perth. A few showers will be possible to the west of Sydney, otherwise look for partly cloudy skies in Sydney and also over Auckland. Northern Australia will be in the 80’s while central and southwest Australia get into the 70’s. Looking at the 60’s for Sydney and only the 40’s for New Zealand.
