Weather Forecast for North America on May 11, 2013
An area of low pressure moving through the southeast will bring showers from South Carolina back towards the Gulf Coast; heavy rain is very possible along with a few severe storms. High pressure over the northern plains will bring partly cloudy skies to the region, look for mostly cloudy skies and a few showers for Chicago. Partly cloudy skies will also be found along the west coast. The light trade winds blowing over Hawaii will make for partly cloudy skies in the region as well. Temps will be in the 30’s for most of Greenland and near the 40 mark for Iceland. The 60’s and 70’s will be along the east coast of the United States, while 70’s and lower 80’s will be possible for Hawaii.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 11, 2013
Mostly cloudy skies will dominate most of the northern part of South America, while partly cloudy skies will be over Brazil. Partly cloudy skies over northern Argentina will give way to showers and cool weather over southern Argentina. Mostly cloudy skies will dominate the western part of South America, as well. Temps in Brazil will be in the 60’s and 70’s, while westward into Chile temps will be in the lower 60’s. The cold spot will be from Argentina and to the tip of South America, where temps will be in the 50’s for the north and rapidly dropping to the 30’s over southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 11, 2013
Showers will be possible across parts of England and into Western Europe to include parts of France. Partly cloudy skies will extend from Spain to Italy, while mostly cloudy skies will be over Scandinavia. Partly cloudy skies and warm weather will be found throughout the Middle East. The 50’s and a few 60’s will be found in England warming to the 60’s and 70’s from Madrid to Venice. It will be another warm day in the Middle East with places like Kuwait surging over the 100 mark.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 11, 2013
Sunny skies will be found across the Cape Verde Islands, while partly cloudy skies will dominate northern Africa and showers will be seen through Central Africa into Madagascar; partly cloudy skies will be found over South Africa. The 70’s will be found through the Cape Verde Islands and into northern Africa, while 80’s will dominate the interior of Africa, and cool to the lower 70’s for South Africa and Madagascar.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 11, 2013
Looking at partly cloudy skies and warm conditions for northern India again, while increasing clouds and showers will be possible for Sri Lanka and into Thailand. Tropical cyclone 1B will be making impacts this weekend in this region, as well especially Sri Lanka to possibly Thailand with stronger winds and increasing rain chances. Afternoon showers will also be possible over Singapore and into Jakarta. A tad bit cooler for New Delhi as temps will only rise to the mid 90’s, further cooling to the upper 80’s across Sri Lanka and into Singapore.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 11, 2013
Partly to mostly cloudy skies will dominate northeast Russia and parts of northern Japan. Showers associated with a frontal boundary will be seen over Tokyo, while partly cloudy skies will be from Seoul into Shanghai. Showers will occur during the afternoon for both Hong Kong and Manila. The stronger easterly trade winds will bring a few afternoon showers to Guam as well. Temps will be in the upper 50’s for northeast Russia and also northern Japan, warming to the upper 60’s to lower 70’s for Tokyo and Shanghai. Hong Kong will top out at around 80F, while Manila warms into the upper 80’s to lower 90’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 11, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate western Australia, while a few showers will be possible just east of Perth associated with a frontal boundary. Mostly cloudy skies expected for Sydney, while showers will spread through Auckland. Western Australia to include Perth will see temps in the 60’s, while Sydney will be in the lower 60’s and the 50’s for Auckland.
