Weather Forecast for North America on June 22, 2013
A storm system moving over northeast Canada will provide showers to Greenland and Iceland. Another strong storm system moving through the northern Plains will bring thunderstorms and severe weather to the region. Tropical moisture will surge across parts of Mexico, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the western United States into western Canada. A storm system will bring showers to southern Alaska. Temps will be in the 40’s and 50’s for Iceland, while warming to the 70’s and 80’s along the east coast of Canada and the US. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s over the southeast and Gulf Coast. A cooler couple of days in store for Alaska as temps fall into the 70’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on June 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will be found from Peru to Brazil, while southern Brazil and also northern Argentina will see a few showers associated with a frontal boundary moving through. Partly cloudy skies will be found along the west coast, as well. Temps will be in the 80’s over northeast Brazil, cooling to the 60’s over most of northern South America; expect the 40’s to be over Argentina, cooling to the 30’s for southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on June 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies are in store for most of Europe, with a few showers possible over Eastern Europe near Germany. Partly cloudy skies will extend from Spain to Italy as well. The Middle East will be warm and dry again. Temps will be in the 70’s for England warming to the 80’s for most of Europe to include Spain and Italy. The 100’s will dominate most of the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on June 22, 2013
Africa will be dry with the exception of a few showers over Somalia and Western Africa, but otherwise dry; this includes the Cape Verde Islands and also Madagascar. Temps will be in the 80’s over most of Northern Africa, cooling to the 50’s and 60’s over southern Africa, including the city of Cape Town.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on June 22, 2013
The monsoonal rains will be in place again over the region; expect to see more heavy rains for all of India and parts of Sri-Lanka and into Singapore as well. The remainder of Southeast Asia will see partly cloudy skies with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. The heat will be on over India with temps in the 100’s for the north, cooling to the 90’s over the south. Look for upper 80’s to mid 90’s for Singapore and also Thailand.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on June 22, 2013
Partly cloudy skies and high pressure will impact the weather over most of northeast Russia. The frontal boundary will push away from Japan, so look for partly cloudy skies to fill in from Japan to Korea. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible from Hong Kong to Manila and also over Guam. The 50’s and 60’s will be over most of northeast Russia, warming to the 70’s for central Japan and the 80’s over eastern China. Look for the 90’s in Manila, while Guam will be in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for June 22, 2013
High pressure will be building in to southern Australia; this will bring partly cloudy skies to most of Australia to include New Zealand. The extreme northwest part of Australia will be in the 70’s, while Perth will be in the 60’s and Sydney will be in the 50’s; places in New Zealand will be in the 40’s.
