Weather Forecast for North America on June 18, 2013

Low pressure moving into Greenland will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region; this will also extend into Iceland. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the east coast of the US and Canada, while afternoon showers will hit the southeast and Gulf Coast. Partly cloudy skies over most of the west; the Pacific Northwest will have showers and they will extend into Western Canada and also into Alaska.  Greenland will see temps in the 30’s, while Iceland will warm to the 50’s. The east coast of Canada and the United States will be in the 70’s, warming to the 80’s and 90’s over the southeast and Gulf Coast. The heat will be in over the southwest again with temps soaring over 100F. The Pacific Northwest will be in the 60’s.

Weather Forecast for South America on June 18, 2013

Partly cloudy skies expected from Brazil to Argentina, while a few showers will be possible over parts of Chile.  The tropical depression moving through Central America may bring slight impacts to northern South America. Eastern Brazil will be in the 70’s while places like Peru and northern Chile only get into the 60’s, cooling to the 30’s over southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on June 18, 2013

Western Europe will see partly cloudy skies, with a few showers over Denmark and into northwest Russia; otherwise sunny skies will dominate the weather from Spain to Italy.  The Middle East will have plenty of sunshine and warm weather. Western Europe will be in the 70’s, while Spain to Italy and most of Eastern Europe will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s. The Middle East will see temps in the 90’s and 100’s.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on June 18, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will be seen through northern Africa giving way to showers over central Africa along the ITCZ region; southern Africa will enjoy partly cloudy skies as well. Madagascar and the Cape Verde Islands will both enjoy partly cloudy skies. Northern Africa will be in the 90’s; the cool spot will be over South Africa where high temps will only hit the 70’s. Madagascar will enjoy 80’s, while the Cape Verde Islands will be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on June 18, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will dominate northern India, giving way to monsoonal rains over southern India and also into Sri Lanka. The monsoonal trough will weaken over Singapore and also Thailand, allowing for partly cloudy skies by afternoon.  The majority of Southeast Asia from India to Singapore and Jakarta will see temps in the upper 80’s to mid 90’s; the cool spot will be over Thailand where high temps will be in the lower 90’s.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on June 18, 2013

Rain showers will dominate most of northeast Russia, giving way to partly cloudy skies over Beijing and also Seoul; further eastward into Tokyo the skies will be partly cloudy.  There will be afternoon showers and thunderstorms for both Hong Kong and Manila, while Guam will have a few showers along with moderate easterly trade winds. Northeast Russia will see a large fluctuation in temps from the 80’s over the western part, cooling to the 70’s near the water. The 80’s will be in place over most of eastern China and into the Korea’s and most of Japan.  Temps will be in the 80’s for Hong Kong and also Manila. Guam will see high temps in the lower 80’s.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for June 18, 2013

Australia from west to east will enjoy partly cloudy skies; however, New Zealand will see showers, especially near Auckland.  North Australia will be in the 60’s, while southern Australia will see temps in the 40’s and a few 50’s. The coolest place will be near Sydney with temps in the lower 50’s and only the 40’s over New Zealand.
