Weather Forecast for North America on December 6, 2013

A large storm system will again impact a wide area of the country from the Northeast to the Ohio River Valley into the Southern Plains and the Gulf Coast. A lot of freezing rain will be possible from Texas to Arkansas, while to the north of that there will be snow from western Oklahoma and Texas all the way up into Ohio. Ahead of that, over the Gulf Coast into the Southeast, look for showers, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The arctic high pressure will dominate the rest of the country with very cold temps. Temps will range from the 20’s over Greenland to the 30’s along the Canadian east coast, warming to the 50’s for the eastern US, and the 70’s for the Southeast and Gulf Coast ahead of the front. Meanwhile, behind the front, from Texas northeastward into the Ohio River Valley, temps will be in the 20’s and 30’s, further north over the Northern Plains temps will be in the 0 to -20F range.

Weather Forecast for South America on December 6, 2013

There will be a few showers over southern Peru, giving way to partly cloudy skies from northern Peru through most of Brazil. A few showers will also be possible over northern Argentina, giving way to partly cloudy skies for southern Argentina and also Chile. Temps will be in the 70’s over Peru warming to the 80’s for Brazil and also northern Argentina, while southern Argentina and Chile will be in the 50’s and 60’s.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on December 6, 2013

Partly cloudy skies over Western Europe, with snow showers over Scandinavia and also into western Russia; partly cloudy skies will prevail from Spain to Italy. There will be a few snow showers over Eastern Europe and the Alps. The Middle East will have a cold front moving through which will trigger a few showers for the area. Temps will be around 0-10 for Scandinavia, warming to the 30’s for London and the 50’s for Spain and all the way over to Italy, as a very cold air mass will dominate this region as well. Temps over the Middle East will top out in the 70’s north and the 80’s south.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on December 6, 2013

Partly cloudy skies over northern Africa with temps in the 50’s and 60’s, look for a few showers in central and southern Africa along with Madagascar, temps in this region will range from the 70’s and 80’s. There could be a few higher elevations in the 60’s as well.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on December 6, 2013

Look for partly cloudy skies from India to Sri Lanka, increasing showers over Singapore to Malaysia and northward into Thailand and also Vietnam. Temps will be in the 70’s and 80’s through this region.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on December 6, 2013

Cold artic high pressure will dominate most of this region from northern Russia to Hong Kong, also including Seoul and Tokyo as well, while a few afternoon showers will be present over Manila and Guam. Temps will be around 0 to -10F over northern Russia warming to the 20’s and 30’s for the Korea’s and warming to around 40 for parts of Japan. Temps will be in the 60’s for Hong Kong warming to the 70’s for Manila and Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for December 6, 2013

Showers will extend from Perth to Sydney and out over parts of New Zealand, while partly cloudy skies and hot weather will dominate from northwest Australia into Brisbane. Temps will be in the 90’s over the northwest to the 80’s in Brisbane and the 70’s for Perth and also Sydney.
