Weather Forecast for North America on August 6, 2013

Low pressure moving near Greenland will bring showers to the area, while a frontal boundary moves through the northern Plains bringing showers to the region, as well. A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible over the Gulf Coast and southeast. Low pressure pushing into Alaska will bring showers to the area, as well. Temps will be in the 30’s and 40’s over Greenland, warming to the 50’s for eastern Canada and the 60’s along with a few 70’s for the northeast US. The southeast and Gulf Coast will warm to the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. Temps out west will be in the upper 80’s over the Pacific Northwest for Seattle and Portland.

Weather Forecast for South America on August 6, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will prevail over Peru and into Brazil, while a frontal boundary passing through Southern Chile and Argentina will bring showers and some snow showers to the area. Eastern Brazil will have temps in the 80’s cooling to the 70’s for Peru. Chile will be in the 40’s north and the 20’s south, while Argentina will be in the 50’s north and the 20’s south.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on August 6, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will be found over England, giving way to sunny skies for Spain and into Italy. The skies will be sunny for northern Europe, while partly cloudy over Moscow. The Middle East will be hot and dry again, with plenty of sunshine. Temps will be in the 70’s for England, warming to the 80’s and 90’s for the majority of Europe from Spain to Italy and into Germany. The Middle East will have temps in the 100-110 range again.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on August 6, 2013

Sunny skies will prevail over northern Africa, giving way to partly cloudy skies over the Cape Verde Islands and western Africa; a few showers will be found over east central Africa. Sunny skies will prevail over southern Africa and showers will be possible over Madagascar. The majority of Africa will see temps in the 80’s and 90’, while the cool spot will be over South Africa with temps in the upper 70’s.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on August 6, 2013

The monsoonal rains will impact the weather from India to Sri Lanka and eastward into Singapore, while afternoon showers and storms will be possible in Malaysia and Vietnam, along with Thailand. Northern India will be in the upper 90’s, while the rest of the region will be in the upper 80’s to lower 90’s, from Sri Lanka to Singapore and northward into Thailand.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on August 6, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will be found from northeast Russia into eastern China and then southward toward Hong Kong; a few showers will be over parts of Japan to include Tokyo. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will also dominate Manila and Guam. Northeast Russia will see temps in the 60’s, warming to the 70’s for northern Japan and the Korea’s. Look for 80’s over Tokyo back into eastern China, warming to the 90’s for Hong Kong to Manila and the upper 80’s for Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for August 6, 2013

A frontal boundary moving through southwest Australia will bring showers to the area, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the majority of Australia and New Zealand. Temps in northwest Australia will be in the 60’s, while temps for Perth will be around the upper 50’s to lower 60’s. Temps for southeast Australia will be in the 50’s; expect 40’s for parts of New Zealand.
