Weather Forecast for North America on August 17, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will stretch across the East from Eastern Canada to the Mid-Atlantic, while increased tropical moisture will extend from the Gulf Coast to the Southeast with flooding likely in many of these places. The Central Plains will also see periods of heavy rainfall as a frontal boundary moves through the region. Partly cloudy skies for most of the Western US, while another front heads into Alaska and Western Canada, which will bring showers to the region. Temps will be in the 40â€™s over Greenland warming to the 50â€™s and 60â€™s for Eastern Canada, while the Eastern US will see temps in the 70â€™s to 80â€™s. The Gulf Coast will see high temps in the 80â€™s due to the increase tropical moisture over the region.
Weather Forecast for South America on August 17, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will prevail across most of South America from Peru to Central Chile and Argentina, while a frontal boundary moving through the region will bring showers and snow showers to Southern Chile and Argentina. Temps will be in the 70â€™s and 80â€™s for Brazil cooling to the 60â€™s for Peru and southward into Northern Argentina and Chile, while Southern Argentina and Chile will be in the 40â€™s and a few 50â€™s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on August 17, 2013
A frontal boundary approaching Western Europe will bring showers to England and also Northern Europe, while sunny skies will stretch from Spain to Italy. Sunny skies and hot weather will be over the Middle East again as well. Temps will be in the 60â€™s and 70â€™s from England into Northern Europe, warming to the 80â€™s and 90â€™s for Italy and also Spain. The Middle East will be hot again with temps in the 110-115 range.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on August 17, 2013
Northern Africa will be dry and warm, while showers and thunderstorms will stretch across most of Central Africa along the ITCZ, as the tropics are becoming more active out of Africa. The Cape Verde Islands will have cloudy skies and showers as another tropical wave passes near the island. Temps will be in the 80â€™s and a few 90â€™s for most of Africa, except for South Africa where temps will be in the 50â€™s and 60â€™s. Madagascar and Cape Verde Islands will both see high temps in the 80â€™s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on August 17, 2013
The Southwest monsoon will begin to break down a tad over the next 24hrs, allowing for partly cloudy skies over most of India, while a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms will still be possible from Singapore to Malaysia. Temps will range from the 80â€™s to 90â€™s over India and the upper 80â€™s for Singapore eastward into Malaysia and Thailand.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on August 17, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will stretch from Northeast Russia to Eastern China to include the Koreaâ€™s an eastward into Japan. Showers and thunderstorms will expand in coverage over Hong Kong and spread eastward into Manila as well, while Guam will have easterly flow bringing afternoon showers and thunderstorms to the area. Temps will be in the 70â€™s for Northeast Russia, warming to the 80â€™s and 90â€™s for Eastern China into the Koreaâ€™s and Japan. Hong Kong will be in the upper 80â€™s along with Guam, while Manila will be in the lower 90â€™s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for August 17, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will prevail over most of Western Australia and advance as the day goes on into Central Australia and finally towards Sydney. The frontal boundary over New Zealand will bring more showers to the area. Temps will be in the 70â€™s for Northern Australia cooling to the 60â€™s for Sydney and a few 50â€™s in Perth and also Auckland.
