Daily Round-Up For March 27, 2013

Mar 27, 13 Daily Round-Up For March 27, 2013

Hello beautiful readers! Welcome to the Daily Round-Up, redOrbit’s collection of all of the latest and greatest news to bubble to the surface in the wonderful world of music. There’s nothing more to say, so let’s just get right to it!

Alternative and pop band The Shins have announced a handful of tour dates in the United States. They are currently touring in support of their most recent effort, last year’s Port of Morrow LP. I have heard nothing but great things about this band’s live experience, so if they are stopping near your location, you should most definitely go and see them. You can check out the full list of tour dates, read the story, and see if The Shins are coming to a town near you by following the link back to Consequence of Sound.

The awesomely talented rapper Blu has finally released his LP No York!, which marked his major label debut on Warner Bros Records. After many delays and a considerable leak, Blu has put the record out on his own terms. You can check out the full story, read into the background of the record, and find a way to listen to the LP itself by following the link back to 2dopeboyz.

French alt-rockers Phoenix have been doing steady, consistent work since they marked their return to the spotlight of the music scene. They recently played their newest single, “Entertainment,” (presumably off their upcoming new LP) live for the first time. You can watch a video of that performance by following the link back to Consequence of Sound.

Kid Cudi’s triumphant return is almost upon us. After losing his vision, throwing together an alternative rock record, and refocusing his efforts back on rapping, Cudi is set to release his 3rd studio hip-hop record, entitled Indicud. The tracklist is out now, and (thank the lord) it resembles the arrangement of his first two successful records, Man on the Moon, Parts 1 and 2. It looks like Cudi is back. And is that a Kendrick Lamar collaboration I see? You can read all about the new record and read through the track listing by following the link back to Consequence of Sound.

And finally, today is Tuesday, which means there are a plethora of new records released! This week we have new LPs from OneRepublic, Wavves, Lil Wayne, Blake Shelton, Dido, The Strokes, and Depeche Mode! I’m sure any of those records will prove to be engrossing and entertaining listens. If you happen to hear any of them, please oh, please let me know what you think! And be on the lookout for reviews of those records coming down the RedOrbit pipeline soon!

And that is all the news we have for today folks! Hope you have a great day! And check out my other articles here. Have questions, comments, suggestions, or love? As always, you can contact me through my email, or through Twitter @robincopple1. If you like I can include your message in a future edition of the Round-Up! Stay safe you guys! I love you all.
