Daily Round-Up For July 1, 2013
Hello you beautiful people you! Welcome to the Daily Round-Up, redOrbit’s one stop shop for some of the most interesting and entertaining pieces of music news of the day. Are you ready? Let’s get right to it!
For those of you that had a long couple of nights of partying hard this weekend, the Dancing Astronaut has just the thing to calm you down from all the excitement. And that thing is Dancing Astronaut’s Sunday Morning Medicine! This is a collection of a few down-tempo and relaxing songs to soothe your headaches from the weekend. This week is especially good. It even includes a track form Disclosure! Check it out by following the link back to The Dancing Astronaut.
I’ve finally been given the opportunity to write about the most intense group of people in America, the Westboro Baptist Church! I won’t say anything about their stance regarding anything, as this is not the forum for that. But I’ll just say that they are planning to picket a Taylor Swift concert for “singing about fornication.” And that’s all I’m going to say. You can check out the full story, complete with all its juicy details, by following the link back to The Line of Best Fit.
Apparently the Glastonbury Festival is going on right now! And lucky us, we get to see video of some of the awesome performances we’re missing out on! Over the past day or so, video has surfaced of alternative band Savages, a new song from Azealia Banks, and an entire set of music from the rock band Daughter! It’s almost as if we’re all at Glastonbury ourselves! Well, maybe next year. If you would like to check out the video, just hit the links. The Azealia Banks video is hosted at 2dopeboyz, and the other two links are courtesy of The Line of Best Fit.
Kanye West’s new record Yeezus has been out for all of 13 days, and the music world has already spit out a fresh new remix! Today it comes in the form of a remix of “I’m In It,” as mixed by producer DMNDZ. I haven’t had the chance to hear it yet but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a listen! There’s a good chance that it’s good, especially if it gets the seal of approval from the 2dopeboyz crew. You can check it out by following the link back to that site.
And that is all the news we have for today folks! Hope you have a great day! You can check out my other articles here. Have questions, comments, suggestions, or love?
