Are You Sure That’s Human?

Apr 29, 13 Are You Sure That’s Human?

In 2003, Oscar Munoz discovered a tiny skeleton in the Atacama Desert of Chile. Munoz was in the abandoned town of La Noria, looking for historically valuable objects, when he found a white cloth wrapped around a six-inch skeleton near the town’s church. The remains became known as the “Atacama Humanoid” – nicknamed Ata.

According to the Daily Mail, Ata has been hailed as proof that aliens are among us. I have to admit, it is a weird looking little critter. Nine ribs, scaly dark body, and a huge bulging head on a tiny body make sure that Ata looks like our classic version of “little green men.” There have been other theories that it was an aborted human baby, or even a monkey.

Scientists from Stanford University tested the remains for a new documentary film, Sirius, which will be released this week and is currently available on YouTube. To the disappointment of UFO and conspiracy junkies around the world, they confirmed that the skeleton is indeed human.

“After six months of research by leading scientists at Stanford University, the Atacama Humanoid remains a profound mystery,” said physician and Disclosure Project founder Dr. Steven Greer.

“We traveled to Barcelona Spain in late September 2012 to obtain detailed X Rays, CAT
scans and take genetic samples for testing at Stanford University. We obtained excellent DNA material by surgically dissecting the distal ends of two right anterior ribs on the humanoid. These clearly contained bone marrow material, as was seen on the dissecting microscope that was brought in for the procedure,”

They tested the marrow and found definitive DNA proof that Ata is human. The scientists call it an “interesting mutation” of a male human. And get this, it isn’t an infant. That’s right, this tiny little human was between six and eight years old.

“It is human – closer to human than chimpanzees. It lived to the age of six to eight,” said Garry Nolan, director of stem cell biology at Stanford University’s School of Medicine in California.

“Obviously, it was breathing, it was eating, it was metabolizing. The DNA tells the story and we have the computational techniques that allow us to determine, in very short order, whether, in fact, this is human,” Nolan, who performed the DNA tests, explains in the film.

“It calls into question how big the thing might have been when it was born.”

Here’s the place where controversy comes in. The French Tribune reports that the tiny body “exhibited all the characteristics of [a] fetus.”  The Daily Mail, however, shows X-rays of a normal human fetus and an infant, pointing out the differences between these and Ata. You have to know that even this little crack will give the conspiracy theory folks room to wiggle. When you add in that Ata is owned by Ramon Navia-Osorio, head of the Barcelona UFO organization The Institute for Exobiological Investigation and Study – that wiggle room gets a LOT wider.

It is very surprising that natural mutation could result in a surviving offspring which would be about 1% of the normal weight of a human newborn and also appear to look so well proportions and functional. Some people claim to recall being kidnapped by ET’s and tell stories relating to genetic manipulation and also draw pictures of their kidnappers. Some of these pictures look remarkably similar to the Attacama Humanoid but the Attacama Humanoid probably existed before the pictures were created.

Please also note that while human DNA has been found, there has also been un-matched DNA (approximately 2 million base pairs of DNA that are un-matched) which will need to be carefully explored, and to date this has not been accomplished.

If extra terrestrials could have catalyzed the human race by mixing their genes with ours, we cannot rule out the possibility that human DNA found anywhere came exclusively from our planet.
